HELLO!
Here’s a brief history of who I am, what I do, and why we should be friends.
I grew up in Ohio, with a family of five. Not knowing what I wanted to do in life, I was shipped off to college and found my passion for anything art. I fell in love with every artistic discipline I came into contact with. In the summer of my junior year, I decided to spend the summer in California with some friends and never looked back. I eventually ended up at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and graduated with a Graphic Design major.
I scored my first job as a corporate designer, but found myself yearning for more variety. After many informational interviews with design mentors, I started doing freelance work, got a job in an advertising agency, fell in love, moved to Green Bay Wisconsin, and bought a sailboat.
Take a peek into my life on the water
I started sailing back in 2015, completely new to everything—I had no idea how to dock a boat, call for a bridge lift, or even contact a marina. At first, it all felt a little overwhelming, but also incredibly exciting and full of possibilities.
I decided to start a YouTube channel to pass on my lessons learned to new sailors who might be unsure like I was, to share our sailing adventures with friends and family … no matter where they are, and to teach myself how to use video editing tools like After Effects and Premiere. It’s been a rewarding journey in both sailing and creativity.
Daily Doodles
Imperfection is not always met with open arms, yet sometimes I feel it’s refreshing to doodle freely and take a moment to be present and appreciate the simplicity of a letterform or doodle.
